Thaís de Bakker and Luciana Martinez win the Northedge Prize

PhD candidate Thaís de Bakker, and Master Luciana Martinez have received first and runner-up place at Millennium: Journal of International Relations' Northedge Prize. The winning entries were "Guns of Ridicule: the construction of Western freedom and the emasculation of ISIS through images of the Kurdish YPJ", by Thaís de Bakker and "When Past, Future and Everyday Life Meet at Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Port", by Luciana Martinez. The competition aims at celebrating work by Masters and PhD students of International Relations.
