Luisa Pereira da Rocha Giannini Figueira, a postgraduate student at the Institute of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-Rio), won the CAPES Thesis Award 2023, in the area of Political Science and International Relations. The research, supervised by professors Roberto Vilchez Yamato and Florian Fabian Hoffmann, looked at politics in international legal argumentative practices, with a focus on Al Bashir’s government in Sudan and the African protest.
