Jimmy Casas Klausen

PhD in Political Sciences

James (Jimmy) Casas Klausen is Adjunct Professor II at the Institute of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago (1998), a Masters in Political Science from the University of California System (Berkeley, 1999) and a PhD in Political Science from the University of California System (Berkeley, 2005). Recipient of two recent research grants, an American Council of Learned Societies Fellow (2011-2012) and a Race, Ethnicity, Indigeneity Fellow at the Research Institute of the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin, Madison (2011). He has experience in the field of Political Science, with an emphasis on Political Theory and Theory of International Relations and Contemporary Philosophy. He is adjunct postgraduate coordinator and editor-in-chief of Contexto Internacional: Journal of Global Connections.
