Jimmy Casas Klausen

James (Jimmy) Casas Klausen is Adjunct Professor II at the Institute of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago (1998), a Masters in Political Science from the University of California System (Berkeley, 1999) and a PhD in Political Science from the University of California System (Berkeley, 2005). Recipient of two recent research grants, an American Council of Learned Societies Fellow (2011-2012) and a Race, Ethnicity, Indigeneity Fellow at the Research Institute of the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin, Madison (2011). He has experience in the field of Political Science, with an emphasis on Political Theory and Theory of International Relations and Contemporary Philosophy. He is adjunct postgraduate coordinator and editor-in-chief of Contexto Internacional: Journal of Global Connections.

James Matthew Davies

He holds a degree in Spanish – Colorado College (1982), a master’s degree in the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) – University of Denver (1987) and a PhD in International Studies – University of Denver (1996). He has experience in the field of Economics, with an emphasis on International Political Economy.

Isabel Rocha de Siqueira

Professor and Adjunct Director at the Institute of International Relations (IRI), PUC-Rio, and researcher at the BRICS Policy Center. She has a PhD in International Relations from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, with a full merit doctorate scholarship from CAPES, a Master’s (MSc) in International Relations from IRI/PUC-Rio and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from PUC-Rio. In 2019, she was awarded the title of Young Scientist of Our State (JCNE), by Faperj. Her areas of research include development and international cooperation, intersection between peace and development, Agenda 2030, data and policies on development, feminist and Southern contributions to rethinking data policy and its impacts on solidarity, responsibility and coexistence. She currently coordinates the Laboratory of Methodology at IRI/PUC-Rio (graduate) and she is the coordinator of Scientific Initiation (undergraduate) at IRI. She founded and coordinated the Critical Approaches to Development network (ACD-network). She also co-coordinate the Security and Development in the Global South (SEED) research line at the BRICS Policy Center. She is a member of the executive board and co-founder of the Digital Humanities Laboratory at PUC-Rio. She works as a review editor for the Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding (JISB) and she is part of the editorial board of the journals PARISS and International Politics Reviews. Recent publications include reports commissioned by g7+ and UNOSSC, a book authored by Routledge, books edited by Editora PUC-Rio and articles in the journals Global Governance, International Political Sociology and Third World Quarterly.

Anna Leander

Anna Leander holds a degree in International Relations – Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (1987) and a PhD in Social and Political Science – European University Institute (1997). She is currently a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, professor – Copenhagen Business School, team member – Copenhagen Business School and professor – The Graduate Institute. Has experience in Political Science, with emphasis on International Politics, working mainly on the following topics: security, united nations (un), information society, technology and global finance. In 2019, she won the “STAIR Distinguished Scholar Award” from the International Studies Association.

Roberto Vilchez Yamato

Ana Elisa Saggioro Garcia

Professor at the Institute of International Relations at PUC-Rio. Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. PhD in International Relations from IRI/PUC-Rio and Master in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin (Germany). Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of International Relations Studies (LIERI/UFRRJ). Collaborating researcher at the Alternative Policies Institute for the Southern Cone (PACS). Member of the editorial board of the Socialist Register (Canada). Vice-coordinator of the thematic area of ​​International Political Economy at ABRI. She has publications in International Political Economy, Critical Theory, Gramsci, hegemony, imperialism, multinational corporations and South-South relations.

Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann

Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann is Associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations, Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She was a Visiting Professor at the Free University of Berlin (2012-2015), University of Erfurt (2010-2012) and London School of Economics (2008-2010). Research and publish on legitimacy and democracy in international politics, international organizations, and regional integration in Latin America and Europe, among others.

Kai Michael Kenkel

He is Associate Professor 2 and Vice-Coordinator of the Academic Graduate Program at the Institute of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IRI/PUC-Rio). Since 2014 he has been an Associated Researcher at the German Institute of Global and Areas Studies in Hamburg, where he completed a postdoctoral period in 2016-2017. He is a CNPq Level 2 Productivity Scholar and a FAPERJ Scientist of Our State Scholarship. He holds a doctorate and master’s degree from the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Études Internationales (IUHEI, now IHEID / Graduate Institute) in Geneva, and a degree (with “Departmental Honors”) from Johns Hopkins University. He has taught at renowned universities in Brazil, Canada, Germany and Switzerland. He is the General Coordinator of the Center for Democracy and the Armed Forces at PUC-Rio. From 2013 to 2016 he was Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program at IRI / PUC-Rio and from 2010 to 2013, editor of the journal Contexto Internacional. He was Director of Institutional Relations at the Brazilian Association of Defense Studies from 2014 to 2016. He is currently Coordinator of the Thematic Area of ​​International Security, Strategic Studies and Defense Policy at the Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI). He publishes, teaches and advises in the field of international security, with an emphasis on peace operations, humanitarian intervention, civic-military relations, and small arms.

Francisco Eduardo Lemos de Matos

He holds a PhD in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO / IRI), 2019. He holds a degree in International Relations from the University Estácio de Sá (UNESA), 2004. He specializes in the History of International Relations at the University of State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 2005 and holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), 2007. Since 2018 he has been Professor of International Relations at IBMR and performs post-doctoral research at PUC-RIO / IRI, 2021-2022. He is part of the coordination of the IPS-Brasil Research Network.
