Abstract:

What is the role of the regional organizations in the fight against the climate change? What are the key axes of disagreement in the climate change agenda in the EU and in Latin America and Caribbean, and their drivers? How to foster consensus? This presentation about the ongoing research project ‘Green politics and policies in the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean regional organizations’ discusses these questions and explores the possibilities of further engagement of regional multilateral fora as complementary to global level commitments, from a perspective of comparative regionalism.
